Position Overview

Kard is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to leverage data as a strategic asset, reshaping our market approach and strengthening partnerships. In this key role, you’ll utilize your exceptional analytics skills to uncover insights and craft compelling narratives that drive sales and boost customer engagement. You’ll be at the forefront of our sales strategy, communicating complex data in a way that propels product development and enhances key merchant relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with merchants and partners, using persuasive data storytelling to demonstrate Kard’s value proposition and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and market positioning, utilizing tools such as Tableau and dbt to transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Act as the primary analytics expert within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between data-driven strategies and business goals.
  • Innovate our analytics framework to gain a competitive advantage, deepening our understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and product performance.
  • Generate data-driven insights that inform product direction and strengthen business relationships.
  • Promote a culture of analytics excellence throughout the company, mentoring team members and enhancing overall data literacy and decision-making.
  • Continuously explore and integrate new analytics technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards across all development and operational activities, advocating for automation where possible.
  • Manage expenses effectively, striving for a high value-to-cost ratio.
  • Drive continuous improvement in automation and processes, enhancing workflow and reducing waste.
  • Attend annual and semi-annual company meetings, and travel as required by your responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transforming sales strategies and customer relationships through insightful data analysis and compelling storytelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau, along with a strong command of dbt for data transformation and automation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-impact analytics projects, with strong project management, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with an understanding of how data can inform product development, enhance customer engagement, and drive business growth.
  • Exceptional mentorship and leadership abilities, with a track record of developing talent in the analytics space and beyond.
  • Availability to work 8 hours during core U.S. business hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
  • Capability to be on camera, distraction-free, and actively engaged during meetings.

Remote Work and Compensation

This is a remote position based in the USA with a pay range of $148,000—$160,500 USD.
