Position: Software Engineer
We are seeking a Software Engineer who embodies strong software design fundamentals, a proactive approach, and a genuine curiosity about business and consumer needs. The ideal candidate balances technical expertise with empathy for our customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Scale our backend frameworks to meet new feature requests and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with the broader Technology team to improve the reliability of existing systems.
- Write and deliver reliable code through integration, test automation, and comprehensive code reviews.
- Apply industry best practices to enhance the performance, efficiency, and maintainability of our applications.
Technologies:
- Languages: Primarily Go and Ruby on Rails; familiarity with Python or JavaScript is a plus.
- Data: Experience with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Pinot, and Redshift.
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CircleCI.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience writing clean, stable, and maintainable code in high-scale production environments.
