About This Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help us develop, optimize, and enhance our data technologies, including ETL, data pipelines, storage, and entity resolution. As part of our team, you’ll work with AWS infrastructure such as Airflow, PySpark, EMR, S3, DynamoDB, and more. Your role will involve building and improving data products, automation features, and analytical tools to support our company’s strategic goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop infrastructure and automate data pipelines for the extraction, preparation, and loading of data from various sources.
- Integrate new components into the data pipeline and work closely with stakeholders and data science teams to develop data products.
- Contribute to entity resolution and best selection processes to efficiently execute product vision and align with organizational goals.
- Write unit and stress tests to monitor technical performance and resolve any identified issues.
- Develop data analysis tools to generate insights and track key metrics.
- Research technical solutions and maintain thorough documentation.
- Follow best practices for data governance, quality, cleansing, and ETL activities.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering development.
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with Python.
- 5+ years working with big data ecosystems, with strong expertise in Spark (PySpark preferred).
- 3+ years of experience with SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
- 2+ years of experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
- 2+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems and cluster architectures in AWS.
- Experience working with large data sets (100M+ records).
- A B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) is preferred.
