Senior Data Analyst – United States – Remote

Dandy is revolutionizing the $200 billion dental industry, combining cutting-edge technology with a commitment to excellence. Supported by top-tier venture capitalists, our mission is to create an integrated operating system for dental practices across America. By empowering dentists with innovative tools and unparalleled support, we aim to enhance the experiences of practitioners, their teams, and their patients.

We Need Your Expertise!

We are seeking resourceful Senior Data Analysts to tackle some of our most impactful challenges within the procurement, fulfillment, and logistics (PFL) domain. The PFL team plays a vital role in Dandy’s operations, focusing on setting accurate ETAs for dentists, sourcing raw materials, and optimizing shipping processes (such as carrier selection and bundling) to ensure timely delivery of products.

In this dynamic, cross-functional role, you will work independently to leverage data analysis and provide actionable insights, enhancing Dandy’s reliability and appeal for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and share insights that empower the PFL team and partner functions (like operations and product) to better serve and retain our customers.
  • Define the data framework (KPIs, dashboards, measurement) to ensure clear understanding and alignment within the team regarding progress and success.
  • Enable rapid decision-making through ad hoc analyses or by promoting data democratization/self-service tools (such as user-friendly explores in Looker, in collaboration with our analytics engineers).
  • Utilize your analytical skills to clarify complexities and solve problems effectively.
  • Mentor fellow analysts to foster their growth and development.

About You:

  • 4+ years of experience in logistics, product, operations analytics, or data science, preferably in a B2B context.
  • BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc.) with statistical expertise, or in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, engineering, natural sciences) coupled with customer empathy (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in SQL, with familiarity in a scripting language such as Python or R.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to present data-driven insights that inspire action.
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with ETA updates in companies like Flexport, UPS, FedEx, Uber, Lyft, or Instacart.
  • Interest in contributing to an early-stage company and refining foundational processes.
  • Strong customer empathy, particularly for dentists.
  • Familiarity with tools like Looker, Hex, and DBT.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role at Dandy is $165,000–$182,000, plus equity. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as work location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
