Senior Analytics Engineer – United States – Remote

The Senior Analytics Engineer is essential for developing data integration and warehousing solutions that drive organizational success. This role focuses on preparing enterprise data for analysis, blending the expertise of data analysts and engineers to create effective data models and communicate valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop, implement, manage, and maintain data integration and warehousing solutions that align with business objectives. Translate business needs into technical specifications, create solution documentation, and provide ongoing user support.
• System Operations: Ensure the seamless operation of enterprise data systems, including the design, development, testing, and maintenance of data systems. Monitor and troubleshoot these systems to maintain service continuity and contribute to capacity planning and architecture design.
• Expertise Development: Act as a subject matter expert on data principles, staying updated on new data warehousing and BI technologies. Contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
• Solution Development: Collaborate with teams to design, build, test, deploy, and support solutions that fulfill business requirements, driving improvements in the features, reliability, and efficiency of Enterprise Data and Analytics platforms.
• Architecture Strategy: Assist technical leadership in implementing a company-wide data architecture strategy and partner with engineering teams to identify pain points and promote best practices.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Engineer scalable architecture for all stages of the data lifecycle, including ingestion, streaming, and storage, to support diverse data applications.
• Data Transformation: Create and maintain systems that load and transform large datasets from various internal sources, ensuring data schema versioning and the integrity of data models for existing and new production systems.
• Insight Generation: Work alongside Data Analysts and Business Intelligence team members to develop data-driven insights and reports for senior management.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform daily administration, repair, and maintenance of data technologies across all environments, ensuring the efficiency and availability of data.
• Data Standards Development: Develop and implement data standards, capture metadata accurately, and create monitoring methods for data incidents.
• Data Quality Improvement: Analyze strategies to enhance data reliability, minimize redundancies, and collaborate with IT personnel to establish data quality standards.
• Performance Indicators: Assist in creating key performance indicators and provide performance insights to colleagues and management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in designing, administering, and supporting data-dependent production systems.
• Proficiency in developing ETL/ELT solutions for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
• Strong skills in documentation, data manipulation, and coding.
• Ability to learn independently and troubleshoot effectively.
• Capability to analyze complex business problems and present solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working effectively in both team and individual settings.
• Familiarity with APIs for data transfer between systems.
• Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
• A continuous improvement mindset and understanding of the SDLC.

Preferred Experience:

• Data visualization and dashboard development (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Programming skills in T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps and Agile development processes.

Compensation Range: $120,653.86 – $180,980.79
