We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will help maintain the books and records of Polygon Labs, ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting various accounting functions. You will play a critical part in month-end close, account reconciliations, process improvement initiatives, and tackling complex technical accounting issues.

Your Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, analyzing and reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accuracy within a complex multi-entity structure.
  • Technical Accounting: Assist the Accounting Manager with researching and documenting complex technical accounting issues, including guidance on crypto-related transactions.
  • Oversight of Accounts Payable: Provide ongoing oversight to the Accounts Payable team for general ledger coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure adherence to out-of-pocket and credit card policies, reviewing and overseeing the correct coding and compliance of transactions.
  • External Collaboration: Coordinate with external accounting and advisory firms to support ad-hoc tasks as directed by management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement within accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of enhancements.

What You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1-2 years of crypto accounting experience in a complex organization.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with NetSuite.
    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and tax laws.
  • Independence & Initiative: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a proactive self-starter.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA: For advanced technical accounting responsibilities and advisory support.
  • IFRS Knowledge: Working knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Technical Research: Experience with complex accounting topics within the FASB Codification.
  • Consolidation Experience: Experience in consolidation within a multi-entity, international firm.
  • Crypto Interest: A personal interest in the crypto and Web 3.0 space is a plus.
