Responsibilities:

• Develop & Deploy AI/ML Solutions: Design, productionize, and deploy scalable, resilient software solutions for AI & ML applications, both in the cloud and on-premises.
• ML Model Deployment: Deploy Machine Learning (ML) models and Large Language Models (LLMs) securely and efficiently, leveraging state-of-the-art platforms, tools, and techniques.
• Model Observability: Implement logging, dashboards, alerts, and other monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective model observability and performance tracking.
• Data Pipeline Development: Work with Data Engineers to design and build robust ETL pipelines for AI & ML models and RAG architectures for LLMs.
• Tool Development for Data Scientists: Enable Data Scientists to work more efficiently by developing tools for experiment tracking, model testing, and automation.
• Scalability & Load Testing: Ensure the scalability of built solutions through rigorous load testing and performance optimization.
• API/UX Integration: Facilitate the integration of AI & ML capabilities into user experiences, including API and UI development.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest developments in AI/ML frameworks, tools, techniques, and architectures, both open source and proprietary.
• Mentorship: Coach and mentor Data Scientists and Data Engineers on best practices for software development, ensuring the creation of maintainable, scalable, and well-designed code.
• Agile Project Work: Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams of engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to innovate AI & MLOps solutions.
• Security Best Practices: Advocate for security and responsibility in AI/ML solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on complex technical topics and contribute to building a stronger organizational understanding of software design patterns and analytics solutions.

Qualifications:

• Continuous Integration/Delivery: Experience with CI/CD best practices, including Version Control, Trunk-Based Development, Release Management, and Test-Driven Development.
• MLOps Tools & Frameworks: Familiarity with popular MLOps platforms (e.g., Domino Data Labs, Dataiku, MLflow, AzureML, Sagemaker) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.).
• LLM Experience: Experience working with LLM platforms (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, NVAIE) and frameworks (LangChain, LangFuse, vLLM, etc.).
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages common to data science, such as Python and SQL.
• ML Lifecycle Expertise: Knowledge of the ML lifecycle, including data wrangling, model selection, training, validation, and deployment at scale.
• Cloud Experience: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Fabric, etc.
• Agile & DevOps Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles, and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently, both in writing and presentations, and in public speaking engagements.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Experience mentoring professionals and promoting best practices in software and data science development.
