DevOps Engineer – United States – Remote

TimelyCare is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Team! In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud architecture. Collaborating closely with fellow engineers, you will implement security best practices, establish CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot production incidents. Your technical expertise in internet technologies—such as IP networking, Linux, HTTP, and databases—will be essential. A solid understanding of cloud technologies and service providers like AWS and Azure is also required.

Travel Requirements: 5-10% travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, design, and maintain highly available Linux container-based AWS cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to troubleshoot and resolve production and development infrastructure issues.
• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines.

What You Bring:

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux.
• Proficient in web application technologies, including load balancers, certificates, and caching proxies.
• Strong foundational knowledge of IP networking.
• Excellent shell scripting skills and familiarity with various programming languages.
• Experience with SQL and noSQL database technologies.
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, LXC, AWS ECS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Understanding of internet infrastructure security issues, including those outlined in the OWASP Top 10.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a holistic view.

Preferred Skills:

• BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
• AWS Solutions Architect or similar certification.
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Programming skills in Node.js/JavaScript (ES6).
• Background in healthcare.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 per year, based on education and experience. This is the base salary; discretionary bonuses may also be available and will be discussed during the interview.
