We Are Hiring: DevOps Engineer (Remote)
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, ensuring seamless code changes across various environments. You will also play a vital role in managing and configuring our cloud applications, facilitating collaboration, monitoring and logging, implementing security measures, and planning for capacity and scalability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD):
- Implement and maintain CI practices to automate code changes from multiple contributors.
- Set up code scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube) for early detection of code issues.
- Establish automated CD pipelines for seamless code deployment across development, QA, and production environments.
- Configuration Management:
- Configure and manage various environments (dev, QA, UAT, prod) with support from the infrastructure team.
- Maintain infrastructure as code across different environments, including Azure, AWS, and others.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication between development, operations, product engineering, and security teams.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop requirements and proactively address issues.
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Implement monitoring solutions to track application and infrastructure performance.
- Set up logging mechanisms for system and application logs, assisting with incident management and troubleshooting.
- Security:
- Collaborate with the security team to enforce best practices throughout the development and deployment process.
- Assist in planning based on findings from penetration testing.
- Capacity Planning and Scalability:
- Conduct capacity planning to ensure infrastructure can support current and future workloads.
- Implement solutions to accommodate growing user demands.
Experience
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with relevant tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with service management software for ticket handling.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- 6+ years of experience.
Technical Skills:
- Cloud Computing & Automation: Experience with Azure and AWS, proficiency in managing cloud resources, and strong scripting skills (Python or PowerShell).
- CI/CD: Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, familiar with tools like GitLab CI and Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Monitoring: Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation, knowledge of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and DataDog.
