Data Architect – United States – Remote

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures that support our data-driven initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our data strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that data systems meet business needs and drive informed decision-making across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Design & Develop Data Solutions: Create robust data architectures, data models, and integration solutions that enable efficient and secure data management.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data architecture solutions.
- Optimize Data Systems: Analyze existing data structures, identify issues, and enhance the performance, scalability, and security of our data systems.
- Data Governance & Security: Ensure best practices for data governance, security, and management are followed across all data processes and systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside data engineers, analysts, and software developers to ensure smooth data integration and usage across various teams.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation on data architectures, data flows, and transformation processes for internal teams.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in data architecture and management, applying them to improve our data infrastructure.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to other team members and offer support on data-related issues and challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles, with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database technologies with a focus on data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (Amazon Web Services), including services like S3, Glue, and Terraform.
- Deep understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
- Strong expertise in data governance, security, and management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP data structures, including SAP HANA and ERP systems.
- Data Warehousing: Experience with Snowflake for designing and implementing data warehousing solutions.
- Visualization Tools: Proficiency with tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or KNIME for data visualization and analytics.
- ETL Tools: Expertise with ETL tools such as Talend, Alteryx, or Informatica.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Good understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and code repositories.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile or Scaled Agile framework.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a team, manage multiple stakeholders, and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary Range:
The pay range for this position is $88,340 – $151,440. The exact compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
