Position Overview

As an advanced individual contributor, you will play a crucial role in the full lifecycle of data analysis—from requirements gathering and design to developing analysis and reporting capabilities. You’ll continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on data analysis techniques and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize business information needs.
• Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Develop and present actionable recommendations in an accessible manner.
• Analyze data using statistical techniques and generate ongoing reports.
• Design and implement data collection systems to enhance statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Acquire and maintain databases/data systems from various sources.
• Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets.
• Clean and filter data, and establish key performance indicators to address data issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of analytics experience.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and integration of your work with other areas.
• In-depth understanding of company products, competitive landscape, and differentiating factors.

Data Skills

• Advanced knowledge of ELT and ability to create structures using specified tools.
• Experience in creating basic databases and data structures.
• Proficient in providing datasets for exploratory analysis.

Data Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of key data within specific domains or business units.
• Ability to connect data across multiple lines of business.
• Skills in interpreting business definitions into data transformations.

Data Modeling

• Understanding of current logical and physical data models used in specific business units.
• Ability to enhance existing data models with new elements based on changing requirements.

Reporting & BI

• Capable of constructing dynamic reports and scorecards.
• Proficient in current BI applications like Tableau, PowerBI, and Business Objects.
• Ability to visually represent relevant data comprehensively.

Stewardship & Governance

• Familiarity with data definitions and lineage, collaborating with analysts to establish specific rules.

Communication Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with internal and external teams.
• Proficient in explaining analytics in layperson’s terms.
• Strong presentation skills.

Compensation

Compensation varies based on job level, geographic location, position incentive plan, and exemption status. The base salary range is $94,100.00 – $141,100.00.
